Eb Eberlein (named Mark when he was born) grew up in upstate New York and moved to Tucson in 1985. He’s done stints as a U.S. Forest Service firefighter and a Grand Canyon guide. These days, he teaches science at Safford K-8 Magnet School and regularly performs original folk music. Fusing tight vocal harmonies with a penchant for improvisation, this band has traversed the musical map from Grateful Dead and classic hippie rock to reggae, Latin, blues, honky tonk, zydeco, ska, New Orleans-style funk, and beyond. In the spring of 2005, the Wayback Machine picked up its third consecutive TAMMIE(Tucson Area Music Award) for Best Cover Band.

Carnivaleros bandleader Gary Mackender did not write his first song until his late 40s. Five albums later, he is in his prime. His music has always been difficult to define, combining moody Eastern European motifs and strains of western movie themes. And then there are the quirky stories of the American experience laced with rhythms of Zydeco, Tex-Mex, waltzes and swing, all of it compelling you to the dance floor.
